Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) introduced a new concept for its Premium Savings Certificate (SSP) this year, namely, "12 million Ringgit, 12 millionaires, 12 months".

Its Senior Vice President and Head of Retail Business and Community, Datuk Mearia Hamzah said that this concept was BSN's ongoing effort to cultivate the practice of saving money among the people.

"The overall value of the reward is RM17.7 million. Throughout this year, a total of 13,536 prizes will be offered to BSN SSP savers, with 1,128 monthly rewards," she said in a statement here today.

She said, for January, a cash reward of RM1 million was offered under the special draw category, a BMW 330e for the monthly category, RM10,000 in BSN SSP for the junior special category and 15 units of IPhone 7 for the junior normal category.

According to Mearia, savers who keep a minimum of RM10 and above for more than a day before the draw would also be in the running to win a luxury car as well as other prizes through the monthly draw.

"The junior draw is also held for savers between the age of 12 and 17, for special and normal categories. The special category requires a minimum savings of RM1,000 to be awarded a RM10,000 BSN SSP, while for the normal category only RM50 is needed," she said. - BERNAMA
