Pharmaniaga Bhd will receive over 1,500 tender submissions in the next two days from various potential pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical vendors for the products listed in Approved Product Purchase List (APPL) required by the Ministry of Health (MOH).

In a statement today, the pharmaceutical company said, as part of its concession agreement with the MOH, the company was required to facilitate the e-Tender exercise for 2017-2019 Tender Process Cycle.

Its Managing Director, Datuk Farshila Emran, said APPL e-Tender was not a new exercise.

"The company has done a similar exercise every three years, the last in 2013. The exercise aims at providing a business avenue for the pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical vendors to supply products required by the government," she said.

She said as the concession holder, Pharmaniaga was consented by the government to carry out the APPL e-Tender procedure.

"However, the company is not involved in the evaluation and selection stage which will be managed solely by the government," she said.

Pharmaniaga was concerned about integrity, effectiveness, transparency and accuracy in its job deliverables, she said.

"Every step of this exercise, whether online or offline, is scrutinised and supervised closely by the officers from MOH and an external auditor to ensure that everything is secured and conducted with integrity and in a transparency manner," she said.

Farshila said the notice of advertisement on APPL e-Tender has been published early this month.

"Interested vendors are required to register via online, prepare the necessary documentations and samples before submitting them to Pharmaniaga's head office in Shah Alam," she said. - BERNAMA
