KUALA LUMPUR, March 27 -- Permodalan Nasional Bhd has declared an income distribution of 6.0 sen per unit for Amanah Saham Malaysia (ASM) and 6.5 sen per unit for Amanah Saham Bumiputera 2 (ASB 2) for the financial year ending March 31, 2017.

The income distribution for ASM would involve a total payout of RM1 billion and ASB 2 would involve a payout of RM384.7 million, Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar said in a media briefing on 'PNB 2016 Review and 2017 Update' here, today.

"The ASM income distribution will benefit more than 500,000 unitholders who currently hold 17.3 billion units, while the ASB 2 distribution will benefit more than 200,000 unitholders currently holding some 7.4 billion units," he said.
