Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 518 new cases of COVID-19 today, bringing the tally to 34,884.

The noon data showed that the vast majority of new cases involved migrant workers residing in dormitories, with only three cases within the community, said the ministry in a statement here.

The ministry said it is still working through the details of the cases and further updates would be shared later today.

In full data released late Saturday, Singapore classified 1,682 as community cases, 580 as imported cases and 32,104 as foreign workers residing in dorms.

A total of 20,727 patients, or about 60 per cent from Saturday's tally of 34,366, have fully recovered.

The ministry said 13,242 patients who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still tested positive for COVID-19 have been isolated and cared for at community facilities.

As at noon Saturday, 374 confirmed cases were still in hospitals with seven in intensive care unit while 23 have died from COVID-19 complications in the republic.

As for new cluster, only one was identified yesterday, involving a dormitory at 15A Senoko Way.

Meanwhile, the republic's largest cluster, S11 Dormitory @ Punggol has a total of 2,686 confirmed cases while Singapore's largest dormitory, Sungei Tengah Lodge at 500, Old Choa Chu Kang Road has recorded 1,970 cases.

On four cases reported at Changi Prison Complex, the ministry said : "We have established that they were not epidemiologically linked to one another, and did not constitute a cluster."

"The cases had been included earlier in our daily updates on new COVID cases," it said.

Singapore Prison Service (SPS) in a statement on Saturday said three new inmates and one staff nurse working at the Changi Prison Complex had tested positive for COVID-19 between April and May.
