The number of COVID-19 positive cases in Indonesia has now increased to 21,745 cases, with 1,351 deaths.

Indonesian Government spokesman on COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto, said over the past 24 hours, an additional 949 new positive cases were recorded with 25 deaths from the virus.

"Right now, 11,495 patients are still under surveillance for COVID-19," he said in his daily press conference broadcast via the official YouTube account of Indonesia's National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB).

Jakarta province still recorded the highest death toll of 501 cases, followed by East Java (271 cases), West Java (127) and the rest in the other provinces of Indonesia.
