A Singapore court today sentenced Malaysian actor Tony Eusoff to eight months' imprisonment for drug possession.

Tony, 38, whose real name is Anthony Joseph Anak Hermas Rajiman, was brought before the court last March 31 and charged with possession of Class A controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act, Bernama reported.

The actor was said to be in possession of no less than 4.56 grams of vegetable substance that when analysed showed traces of ganja.

He was alleged to have committed the offence at the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority bus arrival hall in Tuas on March 12, 2016.

Also present in court to render their support to the Sarawak-born actor was film producer Datuk Vinod Shekar and fellow celebrity friends, including Jehan Miskin.

Tony was reportedly in Singapore to film a drama.
