All the 14 individuals who were detained yesterday for disobeying the police order to disperse during a gathering opposite a shopping centre at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, here were released on police bail last night.

Dang Wangi district police chief, ACP Zainuddin Ahmad said in a short messaging service (SMS) that the 13 men and one woman were released on police bail at about 10pm.

"A 10-year-old child was also brought to the IPD (district police headquarters) in the incident because the child's mother was believed to be involved in the gathering but police did not detain the child," he told Bernama via the SMS.

On Saturday Suara Rakyat Malaysia (Suaram) executive director Nalini Elumalai also confirmed to Astro AWANI that all 15 Black 505 flashmob participants who were arrested outside the Sogo shopping mall have been released to AstroAWANI.

Nalini said the 15, including a 10-year-old boy, were arrested under Section 9 of the Peaceful Assembly Act for failing to notify the police of the event.

Earlier on Saturday, Dang Wangi OCPD ACP Zainuddin Ahmad said only 13 were arrested.

“We received information about the flashmob that took place to invite more people to join the main rally on June 22.

“We brought them to the Dang Wangi police station for investigation. They will be released after their statements are taken,” he said.

Zainuddin also said that the June 22 rally does not follow the conditions set and will disrupt the traffic flow if carried out.

In her Facebook page, Nalini named those arrested as Edy Noor, Shariful Azmir Mustafa, Abdul Aziz, Anwar Yaacob, Sky Lau Tock Sang, Gerald Tang, Safwan Shamsuddin, Zanina Mohamed, Abdul Muqit, Ekhsan Bukharee, Ibrahim Babu, Muhamad Al Fateh, Sulaiman Harun, Muhd Akmal Fizani, Roslee Mohd Shariff.

Another flasmob is expected to at Jalan Tun Perak at 6pm next Wednesday.
