Those who pay tolls electronically at the PLUS Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau toll plazas will continue to enjoy a rebate of up to 30 per cent until the end of the year.

PLUS Malaysia Bhd managing director Datuk Noorizah Abd Hamid said the rebate, offered since Sept 1, would be extended to motorists of Class 1 vehicles who pay their toll using the SmartTAG, PLUSMiles card and Touch ‘n Go cards.

A rebate of 30 per cent will be given to motorists who pay tolls electronically during off-peak hours, which is between 10 am to 3.59 pm and from 10 pm to 5.59 am, while a 10 per cent rebate will be given to motorists during the peak times of between 6 am and 9.59 am and from 4 pm to 9.59 pm.

"Generally, people living in Klang and commuting to Kuala Lumpur via the two toll plazas can save more than RM40 a month when paying tolls electronically during the non-peak hours," she said in a statement here on Monday.

The rebate has been beneficial to almost 842,000 PLUSMiles and Touch 'n Go cardholders who are eligible to receive rebates totaling RM1.2 million during the month.

"Apart from that, the public can get SmartTags at a promotional price of RM99, compared with the original price of RM120 per unit while stock last," she said, adding that the promotion price would be given to those who reload RM30 at the Customer Service Centres at the Batu Tiga, Sungai Rasau, Subang and Setia Alam Toll Plazas," he said.

There will also be preloaded RM5 PLUSMiles and Touch n Go cards on sale at a promotional rate of RM5 at customer service centres operating at the four toll plazas.
