The 'Kita Lawan' rally which took place near the Sogo department store ended with the arrest of activist Adam Adli and former PKR Youth chief Fariz Musa at around 5.15pm.

It is understood that both of them were taken to the Jinjang police central lockup.

According to the 'Kita Lawan' Facebook page, both were arrested under Section 143 of the Penal Code for participating in an unlawful assembly.

Over at the Dang Wangi police headquarters, police tried to arrest PKR Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad but he managed to escape at that time.

Earlier, a rally supporting Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was held in solidarity for the release of the Opposition Leader.

Among those giving speeches included Anwar's daughter, Nurul Nuha.

"My family and I are touched by the efforts of Anak Muda (Keadilan) to continue this struggle for the rights of the people. This is our time.

"My father's message is, do not despair and be strong. Do not give," she told to a 100-strong crowd in front of Sogo.

She also urged the people to show up at a rally on March 7, which is the culmination for the 'Kita Lawan' rally.

Adam Adli also spoke at the rally, urging young Malaysians to 'not be scared in their struggle'.

"We don't want to just free Anwar, but we want freedom of all Malaysians," he said.
