Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, the project owner of Klang Valley’s LRT Line Extension Project (LEP), is opening four new stations this Thursday (March 31) in Puchong.

With the opening of the new stations at IOI Puchong Jaya, Pusat Bandar Puchong, Taman Perindustrian Puchong and Bandar Puteri, Prasarana has successfully opened eight out of 11 stations under the Ampang LEP.

The four new stations is expected to draw in an even bigger ridership in view of the stations' location, with excellent park and ride facilities provided by three of the stations.

However, Bandar Puteri station has only a drop-off facility due to space limitations.

Prasarana President and Group CEO Datuk Azmi Abdul Aziz said the remaining three stations - Puchong Perdana, Puchong Prima, the Putra Heights and the extended Kelana Jaya line are already completed and currently undergoing some finishing touches.

“That contractors for the project are currently working on enhancing certain areas at the three stations.

"It will be opened together with all 12 stations under the Kelana Jaya LEP end of June,” he said after hosting a special train run for the media on Monday.

The first four stations – Awan Besar, Muhibbah, Alam Sutera and Kinrara BK5, were opened on October 31 and had received overwhelming response in view of the high population at the areas.
