The interstate movement yesterday recorded high compliance after no cases of drivers and their families violating the standard operating procedure (SOP) were reported.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob at the same time said traffic was smooth during the duration of the trip.

"From the PDRM report, the interstate movement went smoothly, there was no severe congestion except at Gua Musang yesterday.

“In the R&R areas too, compliance was high. There was no crowding although toilet facilities in R&R are allowed.

"But the PDRM monitoring saw everything going smoothly and driver compliance was high, there were no cases of MCO non-compliance," he said at a press conference here on Saturday.

PDRM has granted 76,537 permits through the Gerak Malaysia application and 2,220 permits through the police manuals for those displaced in Perak, Johor and Kelantan to return to their homes in other states.

"Interstate border permits are only for one-way trips. PDRM has also set up 121 roadblocks to monitor the interstate movements. The PDRM report shows that the movements and traffic flow yesterday were smooth. No heavy traffic jams were detected," he added.
