The increased prices of goods and the National Higher Education Fund Corporation's (PTPTN) are top concerns among the people.

The issues were also hotly debated in the Bicara Minda Dialogue Session: Perjuangan For All, which was organised by UMNO to understand problems faced by the people.

UMNO information chief, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, said these two questions were giving indication that there was still dissatisfaction and confusion among the people against the government and that they should be given proper explanation and assurance.

"I deeply appreciate every question raised during this programme and we will channel these grouses to the party leaders so that the people's voice will be heard.

"This evening, we hear people feel the impact on the rising cost of living, young people are saddled with financial burden in education and now that almost every household has a PTPPN borrower, issues of difficulty to secure a job, so the government needs to focus on solving all the problems in the interest of the people," he said.

He was speaking to reporters after the programme that also saw UMNO supreme council member Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman and Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) International Relations Department lecturer, Associate Professor Dr Muhammad Fuad Othman as panelists.

Annuar said when the government convinced the people that the issues were addressed properly, the people would then vote for the existing government in the next general election.
