Anyone trying to become instigators to component parties of the Barisan Nasional (BN) in Perak will not be successful, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.

He said that BN in the state adopted the approach of discussing with all the component parties in any matter arising including the allocation of positions in the respective District Councils.

"No one should become instigators. Our method is simple, we sit down and discuss whatever issue which at times are done behind closed doors," he told reporters after officially opening the delegates meeting of the All Malaysian Indian Progressive Front (IPF) here, today.

In addition, Zambry said the Perak state BN had made all preparations to face the 14th General Election (GE14) which might be called at any time.

He said several component parties and 'Friends of BN' were actively holding meetings and making preparations for the machinery to face the GE14 to ensure that the BN remained in power in Perak.

Earlier in his speech, IPF president Datuk M. Sambanthan said although the party had yet to receive consent to contest in any state or parliamentary constituency on the BN ticket, it would continue to give its support to the BN.
