Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said today the Malaysian Judiciary always adheres to the rule of law based on the concept of separation of powers.

He said the judiciary was based on an independent and efficient judiciary, and clear and stable laws, and provided protection to the people.

Inaugurating the country's first special court to handle cases on sexual crimes against children here, Najib said it must be ensured that the system of delivery of justice was always at maximum, efficient and effective levels.

The Prime Minister suggested that the judiciary set targets to resolve and dispose of cases registered in courts in a short time.

"One of the measures will be to make the court computerisation system a key transformation agenda to provide impact and benefit to all clients of the court," he said.

The Special Court at the Palace of Justice Annexe here will handle cases on sexual crimes against children.
