MASwings Sdn Bhd, a fully owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines, has set 2017 as the year to focus on improving its services and quality to ensure the comfort of passengers said Chief Executive Officer Aminuddin Zakaria.

He said the focus would be on reducing delays, cancellation of flights, improve and upgrade cabin and crew with a suitable motto 'Young, Fresh, and Speed'.

Aminuddin said MASwings would also upgrade its customer service to offer passengers a pleasant experience while checking in and on board the flight.

"The feedback that we got from the customers, our reputation is very low and the customer's confidence to fly MASwings is a challenge.

"We struggle to get our reputation and win back the customer's confident to fly with us," he said during a media briefing, here Wednesday.

Aminuddin said MASwings was also involved in a Fleet Improvement Programme initiated from Feb 20 to Dec 31, to upgrade or refurbish 20 aircrafts.

He said the programme would see five routes enjoying the upgraded services, namely Kota Kinabalu-Lahad Datu, Kota Kinabalu-Sandakan, Miri-Limbang, Kota Kinabalu-Miri and Miri-Labuan. - Bernama
