A woman who brought along her 11-year-old son to a drug den to get her 'fix' was among nine people detained during two operations by the Manjung National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) here on Thursday.

The 32-year-old woman and the other eight aged between 18 and 49, who were high on drugs, tried to escape but in vain.

Manjung AADK chief, Sharuddin Abd Salam said the woman was nabbed in a raid at a house in Teluk Muroh about 10am.

"Her son was found famished as he had not eaten for two days," he said when contacted here yesterday.

He said the nine suspects tested positive for drug abuse which involved methamphetamine, marijuana and morphine.

The six-hour operations dubbed 'Ops Cegah' and 'Ops Gelora' which began at 9am, were conducted in Teluk Muroh and Lekir near here.

Meanwhile, a 27-year-old man who was nabbed in a raid at a house in Lekir tested positive for metaphatamine and heroin. -- Bernama
