Datuk Seri Najib Razak expressed his condolences to the people affected by the massive explosions in the Chinese northern port city of Tianjin.

In his latest tweet on Friday, the Prime Minister conveyed his thoughts and prayers to the the family and friends of the victims of the blasts.

"My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the lives lost and injured in the Tianjin blasts. Deepest condolences to the people of China," Najib tweeted.


The blasts had killed at least 56 people and injured more than 720 people.

According to a report by AFP, Chinese authorities are struggling to extinguish fires and identify dangerous chemicals at a devastated industrial site.
