Former International and Kedah's interim coach Mohd Nidzam Adzha Yusoff was today officially appointed as the head coach for Kedah by the Kedah Football Association (KFA) as a replacement for former coach Tan Cheng Hoe who has since joined the National team as assistant coach.

According to KFA, Nidzam Adzha, a former international and Kedah stalwart, was appointed as the acting head coach when Kedah faced Terengganu in the FA Cup semifinal at the Shah Alam Stadium in Selangor.

"Maybe KFA had the confidence in me after guiding Kedah to the FA Cup victory against Pahang last Saturday. I have been the task of head coach until the end of the season and KFA will make a decision about my future next season, later," he told Bernama when contacted, here today.

He said he knows that taking over the responsibility from Cheng Hoe who had tendered his resignation on April 1, after being appointed the National assistant coach by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), is not an easy task but pledged to give his best.
