The one-month toll exemption announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is only for vehicles using the Sultan Abdul Halim Muā€™adzam Shah Bridge (Second Penang Bridge) Toll Plaza operated by
Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd (JKSB), Plus Malaysia Berhad (Plus) said Tuesday.

"Motorists heading for Batu Kawan (on the mainland) or the Second Penang Bridge via the Bandar Cassia Toll Plaza from the North-South Expressway have to pay toll," it said in a statement.

The Bandar Cassia Toll Plaza opened on March 2.

Motorists from the Second Penang Bridge or Batu Kawan entering the North-South Expressway would have to obtain a transit ticket or use the Touch 'n Go card or SmartTAG at the entry lane at the Bandar Cassia Toll Plaza, it said.

The statement said the elevated interchange and the Bandar Cassia toll plaza at Km154 linking the North-South Expressway to the Second Penang Bridge was operated by Plus, and the toll was collected as usual and was subject to the rates set.

The statement said the public could contact PLUSLine at 1800-88-0000 for more information.

Najib opened the Second Penang Bridge on March 1 and announced that motorists using the bridge would not be charged toll for a month.
