The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is using the service of its paranormal team in the search and rescue operation for teacher Jashiah Rabu, who has been missing for 15 days.

Hulu Selangor deputy police chief DSP Abdul Rahman Yahya Zikri said this would involve the reading of the Yassin by the search and rescue team tomorrow in an area in the Bukit Kutu forest reserve where the teacher was believed to be before she disappeared.

"The Yassin reading will be handled by PDRM religious and counselling unit (BAKA).

"We are using the service of the PDRM paranormal team after all efforts made to find her since the past 12 days meet a dead end," he told reporters at the search and rescue operation centre in Kampung Buluh Telur here today.

Abdul Rahman said the search and rescue members comprised the police, Fire and Rescue Department, Civil Defence Department and the People's Volunteer Corps.

Jashiah, the headmistress of Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Keramat Satu, was seen leaving her house at Taman Seri Seruling here last Oct 23.
