One can only imagine the emotions running through the heart and mind of Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, the star witness in Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy II case which saw the Opposition Leader losing his final appeal for freedom today.

At around noon today, the Federal Court had unanimously upheld the Court of Appeal's 2014 decision to sentence Anwar to five years' jail after the court found guilty of sodomising his former aide in 2008.

Heaving a huge sigh of relief, below is the 30-year-old's reaction to the court decision, as posted in his blog today.

"Ya Allah, to you I submit..."

"Today, my prayers, istiqamah (steadfastness) and patience for the last seven years have finally paid off, for today, the Federal Court has unanimously decided that my claims all this while have been true, and that I am a credible witness.

"My family and I respect the decision of the Court today.

"As early as seven years ago, from the moment I lodged the police report up to this very moment, what I have always wanted as a complainant and as a citizen of this country, was for my complaint on Anwar Ibrahim’s behaviour against me to be investigated and tried, nothing more.

"Also as a servant of Allah who is far from perfect, I am fulfilling my responsibility, upholding truth so that I will not be questioned in the afterlife.

"What’s certain now, and most importantly, is that my family and I move forward… I pray that Allah SWT continue to provide me with protection, rezeki (livelihood) and ease in all my affairs.

"Thank you to all parties who have been with me, directly or indirectly, all this while. Only Allah is able to repay.

"Illahi Antal Maksudi Wa Ridhoka Mathlubi"
