Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s former political aide, Mohd Saiful Bukhari has expressed disappointment over the treatment given to him, as a ‘victim’ in the sodomy case.

He said justice and concern towards him as a victim, is often not looked into and in fact, considered as irrelevant and not important, although he is the victim, while Anwar is the accused.

“What is more disappointing is when many in the government and the opposition and political analysts are more concerned about the effect of the case on the political scenario, compared to the truth, facts and justice for me as a victim.

“Whatever it is, I realise who I am. I'm only a small person of no importance. But Anwar is a VVIP, political leader,” he wrote in his blog yesterday.

After the seven year court-battle, Saiful said he leaves everything to Allah.

“At this moment, Allah SWT is the only place I ask for help, trust and complain. Together we will wait for the court decision, " he said.

Tomorrow, the Federal Court is set to deliver its verdict on the Sodomy II case.

In 2008, Saiful had accused Anwar of sodomising him but the High Court acquitted Anwar in 2012.
