The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced the discovery of an additional new cluster in Sarawak known as the Taman BDC cluster in Kuching.

According to Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, there were 37 positive cases reported from the cluster.

The cluster was also believed to be from the Sri Petaling tabligh rally.

"I wish to inform there is a new cluster identified in Kuching which is the Taman BDC cluster involving 37 cases and this also involves the tabligh assembly, which is an index case and has affected the families of mosque congregants and colleagues involving three generations," he said in a daily media conference here on Monday.

At the same time, Dr Noor Hisham also stated that to date, the number of samples taken from the cluster at the Sri Petaling Mosque totalled 35,288.

Of these, 2,266 cases were found positive COVID-19 involving five generations.
