Tuna fish or popularly known as ''Ikan Aya'' in Terengganu is among the 20 items listed under the Aidilfitri Festive Season Price Control Scheme for the state from June 17 until 30.

State Rural Development, Entrepreneur, Cooperative and Consumerism Committee chairman Nawi Mohamad said the scheme was decided by the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) and implemented under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011

According to Nawi, among the other controlled items include live chicken; standard chicken; super chicken; Grade A chicken eggs; Grade B chicken eggs; Grade C chicken eggs; Local beef; Imported beef (India); red chillies; tomatoes; imported round cabbages; coconut; grated coconut; shallots; garlic (China); imported onions; imported potatoes and mackerals (including Ikan Mabung and Ikan Selayang).

"KPDNKK determined the maximum prices for manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers for the 20 items based on their observation of prices in all districts as well as the from the views of various government agencies and discussions with manufacturers, importers and suppliers," he said after launching the scheme at the state-level, at the Jerteh Giant Supermarket here.
