Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has yet to decide who will be appointed Prime Minister if Pakatan Harapan (PH) recaptures Putrajaya.

PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said an online meeting with 39 Members of Parliament (MPs) from the party on Thursday did not address the issue.

“The question of people kept asking who the candidate for PM is, let us discuss it properly. We (will) decide but what is more important is not to repeat old mistakes so we can hold on to those who keep to promises.

"Hold on to people who do not betray trust, who are clean, who do not accept bribes and who raise the people's agenda," he said in a Facebook Live session this morning.

He added that the meeting with all the MPs did not discuss the rumours that 129 MPs supported Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Anwar to form a new government.

“We did not discuss this matter as it is still in the process and not final. What matters in the discussion is not about numbers, not about power.

"We have been in power many times but back and forth, back and forth, the people still suffered, the interests of the people. Most importantly, it binds us with an agenda for good,” he said.

Recently, there have been rumours about the possibility of a government change again following allegations by a blogger that Dr Mahathir and Anwar have sufficient support to form the government.

According to the allegations, PH now has the support of 129 MPs and they will seek an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in the near future.
