There will be a new state government in Perak after 32 assemblyperson (ADUN) decided to realign themselves in order to form the government.

According to Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, the composition of the new government
consisted of assemblyperson from UMNO (25 seats), Pas (3 seats) and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (4 seats)

Ahmad Faizal added that PPBM received an increase of two seats following the inclusion of Kuala Kurau Assemblyman Abdul Yunus Jamhari and Tualang Sekah Assemblywoman Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi.

"I would like to announce that the state leaderships of PPBM, UMNO and Pas have agreed to form
a new coalition.

"With the formation of this coalition, Perak Perikatan Nasional has enough seats to form the state government," said Ahmad Faizal during a special press conference in Perak today.

Also present were Perak UMNO Liaison Chief Datuk Saarani Mohamad and Perak Pas Commissioner Razman Zakaria.

This decision caused the third Pakatan Harapan (PH) State government to collapse after Johor and Melaka.

When asked if he would remain as Menteri Besar in the new coalition, Ahmad Faizal replied he is still Menteri Besar as of this moment.
