A delegate at the 63rd PAS Muktamar, here today reminded party members to be careful with the 'tricks' of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Johor PAS representative, Nazari Mokhtar said this is because it is hard to tell what Dr Mahathir's real intentions were, and worried that the behaviour of the former prime minister was to only save the ruling government.

“Therefore, the decision to not be with PPBM was the right decision.

“This is the time to gain votes from the Malays. If we are not careful, we will lose the support of the Malay voters," said Nazari when debating PAS president’s speech on the second day of the Muktamar today.

Nazari also criticised Dr Mahathir and described the leader as “Mr U-Turn” for changing his stance on their ties with PAS.

Yesterday, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said the party did not intend to initiate political cooperations with PPBM led by Dr Mahathir.

In his press conference, Abdul Hadi said PPBM is seen to not have any directions and do not have a clear vision of leadership.
