Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties must work hard with UMNO to win the hearts of Chinese voters in the coming 14th General Election.

UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the component parties needed each other's support in any of the seats which are contested.

He said the Chinese community must realise that only a stable government could help improve their economy.

"The opposition parties are now in chaos, for instance not having a unified leadership. If they win the general election, they will squabble to determine who becomes the prime minister.

"The Chinese community must realise that when the economy improves, the rural people will benefit because there will be a lot of domestic investment, and the Chinese can expand their businesses," he told reporters after launching the Parit Buntar Division UMNO delegates conference here Sunday.

Ismail Sabri, who is also Minister of Rural and Regional Development, said the current BN government was supported by component parties which are stable and capable of uniting, unlike the opposition pact.
