Pakatan Harapan's presidential council has announced a new leadership structure last night by naming Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as its ketua umum (de facto leader), Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as chairman and Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as president.

The announcement was made by Dr Mahathir, who is also the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) chairman after a meeting with Pakatan Harapan leaders that lasted over 4 hours and ended after midnight.

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, PPBM president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Mohamad Sabu were named deputy presidents of the opposition coalition.

The vice-presidency posts were given to PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Azmin Ali, PPBM deputy president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, Sarawak DAP chairman Chong Chieng Jen and Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub.

Meanwhile, Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah was appointed as the coalition's secretary-general and M. Kula Segaran as the treasurer.

Besides that, Pakatan Harapan also revealed its new logo, which will be known as 'Harapan', and is expected to be registered with the Registry of Societies (RoS) no later than a week.
