Agencies under the Communications and Multimedia Ministry (KKMM) must be pro-active in facing the 14th General Election.

Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister who is also Hulu Terengganu Member of Parliament, Datuk Jailani Johari said the Information Department, Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) and Department of Special Affairs (JASA) must swiftly reply to all the opposition's baseless accusations and negative issues.

"They are the key to national political stability and harmony...the relentless attacks of the opposition should not go unanswered," he said.

He said this in his speech at a prize-presentation ceremony in conjunction with a Hulu Terengganu level District Voting Centre (PDM) Competition here, yesterday.

Meanwhile, Jailani said the PDM competition was held to revive and mobilise PDM activities to face PRU14.

"We will also be able to gather the latest data and information on the general election besides evaluating the effectiveness, efficiency and the morale of the general election machinery.
