Penang DAP has not made a decision to take the issue of the dissolution of the State Assembly to the party's Central Committee or to the opposition coalition, said state DAP chairman Chow Kon Yeow.

Refusing to elaborate on the issue, he said the matter was "old news which had been commented on over the last two three days."

"I do not intend to add anything new as there are no new developments," he told reporters here Wednesday.

Chow, who is also State Local Government, Traffic Management and Flood Mitigation Committee chairman, said this when asked about reports linking the proposal to dissolve the Penang State Assembly to pave the way for a snap state election.

Previously, the media had reported Penang Deputy Chief Minister II P. Ramasamy as saying DAP a snap election could be a response to two charges of corruption filed against Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, who is also DAP secretary-general.
