After being told by Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor to 'open her mind' recently, Seputeh MP Teresa Kok today retorts by saying the Federal Territories Minister should 'wash his brain'.

On the issue of planning and development of Kuala Lumpur city, Kok said the Federal Territories Ministry helmed by Tengku Adnan had done 'a poor job'.

In raising the issue when giving a supplementary question to Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri SK Devamany in Dewan Rakyat, Kok asked Devamany to advise Tengku Adnan to 'wash his brain'.

"The FT Ministry is the one which approves high density projects in Kuala Lumpur, yet there's still no LRT, MRT service in my area. So the government needs to build more LRTs and MRTs in many other places due to increasing demand.

"I want the Deputy Minister to advise the FT Minister to 'wash his brain' so that he will think about planning the KL city in a more orderly manner," she said.

At the same time, Kok was also unsatisfied with Devamany's statement when he said LRT users should make an effort to get up earlier in the mornings to avoid the human congestion at the stations.

Last Thursday, Tengku Adnan had slammed Kok when she blamed KL City Hall for not providing enough public transportation services in the federal capital, leading the city to suffer massive traffic congestion.

Tengku Adnan had said Kok should 'open her mind' to all the good things that the government has done for the people instead of just slandering.

He highlighted that the government spends some RM70 million annually for the GoKL City Bus service which is free for the public, on top of other amenities.
