PKR president, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has insisted that former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, is no longer the chairman or a part of Pakatan Harapan (PH).

He said PH at this juncture only comprise of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), DAP and Amanah and that this morning's meeting was only attended by the three parties.

When pressed repeatedly on Dr Mahathir’s stance on PH, after the former had criticised Anwar’s supposed hurry to become prime minister, the Port Dickson MP said he hoped that the former prime minister would be consistent with his narrative.

“You have to ask him that, because he may change his mind tomorrow. I hope he can remain consistent,’’ he said.

"Bersatu have decided to leave the party," he said when asked about Dr Mahathir's position in PH.

However, Anwar said he was willing to cooperate with everyone including Dr Mahathir.

He said the Langkawi MP had invited several PH leaders to meet today but he was unable to attend as he had to be present at today’s press conference.

On February 24, the Bersatu Supreme Council announced the party’s exit from PH.

Bersatu President, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin, had said the decision was reached at a special meeting.
