UMNO Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin admitted that the majority of young voters are still undecided on their political affiliation.

Commenting on a study done by Ilham Research Centre, he said these young voters are hard to capture as it is difficult to figure which side they’re on.

He said a study by the Barisan Nasional (BN) Youth found a similar outcome too - that most of these young voters tend to sit on the fence when choosing a political party.

"I think the study is accurate because based on BN Youth's research, the group of young voters today are very much on the fence.

“They have not yet made any decision and there are those who are voting for the first time in the coming election,” he told a press conference at Wisma Pertahanan on Monday.

However, Khairy said the BN has its own strategy in ensuring that the voters support in the next general election.

Yesterday, Ilham Research Centre CEO, Hisommudin Bakar told Astro AWANI that no political party had managed to conquer the young voter block.

He said the capability to convince young voters would be the measurement of a political party's strength.
