The AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Final Qualifying Round Group B match between the Democratic People's Republic (DPR) of Korea and Malaysia, scheduled in Pyongyang on October 5, has been postponed.

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) made the announcement in a media release today, following the issuance of a travel ban on Malaysians visiting North Korea by Wisma Putra earlier today.

"The AFC has today been informed by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) that the Malaysia Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel ban on Malaysian nationals visiting DPR Korea.

"In light of this information, the AFC has postponed the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Final Qualifying Round Group B match between DPR Korea and Malaysia," it said.

It said, the AFC will now refer the matter to the appropriate committees to decide on the future status of this match.
