Two Malaysian athletes will be raring for a chance to compete against the finest up-and-coming martial arts prospects when they feature on Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series (OWS) 5 this Thursday, 25 April.

Kuala Lumpur-based Roshnee Khaira takes on India’s Neha Kashyap in women’s atomweight contest, while Mohammad Arif Izzudin battles against the Philippines’ Ismael Bandiwan.

A highly skillful athlete, Roshnee commands a strong knowledge of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

The BJJ blue belt has been competing in the Malaysian martial arts scene for over three years and has participated in various grappling tournaments throughout the Klang Valley.

The 30-year-old makes her second promotional appearance on Thursday, two months since her professional debut at OWS 4.

Alongside the MuayFit athlete will be Johor Bahru’s Mohammad Arif, a young and exciting talent who is also set to compete in his second professional bout.

His last match – a victory against fellow ONE Warrior Series athlete Mohd Fouzein – took place nearly two years ago, but he is determined to showcase why he should be competing at The Home Of Martial Arts in the near future.

The 22-year-old is one of 18 debutants who are eager to prove themselves in ONE Championship’s developmental league.

Those two clashes will be part of a thrilling 15-bout card, which is also set to feature Mehdi Bagheri, a Malaysia-based Iranian from Monarchy MMA, home to ONE Championship’s Agilan Thani and Keanu Subba.

Bagheri, 31, is the chief wrestling coach at Monarchy MMA, and he brings almost two decades of experience in wrestling. He faces Australia’s Cameron Rowston in a middleweight battle.

Malaysians eager to support these heroes can download the ONE Super App to witness all the action.
