The FA of Johor (PBNJ) will be setting up a security company to look into the security needs at its home venue, the Larkin Stadium in Johor Baharu, beginning next season.

PBNJ said the move was being taken because its president Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim was deeply concerned about the safety and security of fans.

The association said the company would station 1,000 marshals to look into security in and around the stadium on match days.

"To ensure the marshals are competent, they will first be vetted and be required to undergo training with the Royal Malaysia Police and Johor Military Forces," PBNJ posted on the Johor Darul Ta'zim's official Facebook account, Johor Southern Tigers, today.

PBNJ also said they the marshals would not only be responsible for security of home fans but also visiting fans.

With the move, PBNJ said it hoped fans would enjoy matches at the venue with peace of mind.
