MICHAEL JACKSON & MALCOLM X

...Both men are the 7th offspring of their respective parents. The names ‘Michael’, ‘Malcolm’, ‘Jackson’ and ‘Shabazz’ are each comprised of 7 letters. On page 418 of his Autobiography Malcolm, in describing his attendance at the 1964 Cassius Clay/Sonny Liston fight, mused: “Among over eight thousand other seat holders in Miami’s big Convention Hall, I received Seat Number Seven. Seven has always been my favourite number. It has followed me throughout my life. I took this to be Allah’s message confirming to me that Cassius Clay was going to win…” On the cover of Jackson’s History album the artist is pictured in characteristic pose, with his trademark armband around his right bicep. A closer look at the band reveals it to bear the number ‘777’ (an “inversion” of the Antichrist signature, 666). Malcolm spent 77 months in prison and emerged to build up and transform the Nation of Islam organisation, eventually establishing his base at its New York temple ~ No. 7. Jackson’s 7th solo release, Invincible, marked the beginning of a new phase in his life which, following the 2005 child-molestation nightmare and his semi-exile to the Middle East, appears to be approaching a decisive moment. Indeed, Jackson's current presence in the Middle East could prove as significant as Malcolm’s 1964 pilgrimage to Mecca, signalling a possible conversion to Islam (if, in fact, it hasn’t already taken place)...
