Police helicopter crashes in Kelantan

The Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said a police helicopter has crashed in Kampung Rambai, Tanah Merah, Kelantan. - Bernama Photo
Two pilots and two crew on board a Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) helicopter escaped with injuries when their helicopter crashed at Kampung Rambai, Tanah Merah, Kelantan, at 6.30pm today.
Confirming this in his Twitter, the Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the Eurocopter AS355N Ecureuil 2 with the registration number 9M-PHD crashed when sending food supplies to the flood victims there.
However, he added that there are no fatalities.

According to a Kelantan Fire and Rescue Department spokesman, the four people on board the helicopter comprised three men and a woman.
All four who suffered injuries, three of them serious, have been sent to the Tanah Merah Hospital for treatment.
A witness said the helicopter was flying very low and heard a loud noise before the crash.
