Television personality and chef Anthony Bourdain treated United States President Barack Obama for dinner in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Obama, who is currently in Asia, took time off from his hectic schedule to enjoy some local dinner with Bourdain.
Both of them visited a local restaurant which served a famous Vietnamese noodle dish known as Bun Cha.
Bourdain even took to Twitter to share the experience.
“Total cost of Bun Cha dinner with the President: $6 (RM24.66). I picked up the check,” said Bourdain.
According to CNN.com, the conversation between the two personalities will be broadcasted on the news channel’s programme called Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown in September.
In other development, Obama on Monday announced that the US is fully lifting its embargo on sales of lethal weapons to Vietnam, its one-time enemy, after 50 years.
After Vietnam, Obama will visit Japan and is set to become the first sitting U.S. president to visit Hiroshima, where the US dropped the first of two atomic bombs during World War II in 1945.
