A 30-year old man has been detained after following former United States President Barack Obama’s daughter to work recently.
According to the New York Daily News, Secret Service agents detained Jair Nilton Cardoso after he managed to enter a building in Tribeca, New York where Malia Obama is currently serving her internship.
The man from Brooklyn apparently held a sign asking Malia to marry him.
The incident happened on April 10.
Authorities recognised Cardoso, as he is known to have repeatedly tried to get into the White House in the past.
News reports also said that Cardoso does not have any criminal record but he has been taken to hospital for further evaluation.
