Incessant rain from Sunday caused floods in several areas of Jakarta with 5,152 people forced to evacuate.
Data and Public Relations Centre of the National Agency for Disaster Management reported that ome 7,367 houses were flooded to a depth of between 250 cm and four metres.
According to Bernama, Cawang was the worst-affected area and other affected areas include Cililitan, Bidara Cina and Kampung Melayu.
The flood evacuees were being housed at the local health centres, mosques and primary schools, he said.
