Arnold Schwarzenegger will return to the "Terminator" saga that made him a worldwide star in the 1980s.

The star announced the news during a press conference in London but did not give any details on the part he will play.

Schwarzenegger, who is currently promoting his new film, Kim Jee-Woon's "The Last Stand," talked about some of his next cinema projects. His return to "The Terminator," which was first mentionned in 2011, is still going ahead, as is the "Twins" sequel, "Triplets." The actor will also reprise his role as Conan the Barbarian.

The fifth "Terminator" installment is being written by Laeta Kalogridis ("Shutter Island") and Patrick Lussier ("Hell Driver"). No director has yet been settled upon, although Justin Lin ("Fast and Furious") was at one time being mentionned.

When he played the android in the first "Terminator" film in 1984, Arnold Schwarzenegger became an action film star. He took part in the second and third installments but didn't participate in the fourth, which was released in 2009.
