MALAYSIAN-born international actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh is set to star in Star Trek's latest television series, Star Trek: Discovery.
The announcement was made by "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" director and "Star Trek: Discovery" consulting producer Nicholas Meyer on Wednesday.
"I know Michelle Yeoh is in it," Meyer told ComingSoon.net.
The information on her exact role has yet to be officially revealed, but Yeoh is expected to play the series’ lead which is a female Lieutenant Commander.
Star Trek: Discovery will be shown exclusively on CBS All Access - a video on demand streaming service - in the United States, and will be available globally on Netflix 24 hours after the US premiere.
