Anugerah berprestij itu, yang menghimpunkan nama-nama besar dalam industri hiburan dunia akan berlangsung pada 12 Mac di Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, Amerika Syarikat.
Kini, semua peminat hiburan dari seluruh dunia tidak sabar menanti pemenang trofi Oscars 2023, termasuk jutaan pemerhati seni dari rantau sebelah Timur yang kini sedang berlangsung.
Di Malaysia, pencinta seni turut akan 'menumpang' gembira dan debar apabila pelakon Hollywood kelahiran Ipoh, Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh, 61, tercalon dalam kategori Pelakon Wanita Terbaik.
Sekiranya itu menjadi kenyataan, bintang asal kelahiran di Ipoh itu akan menjadi wanita bukan kulit putih pertama yang memenangi kategori itu selepas selang masa dua dekad, sejak Halle Berry memenanginya pada tahun 2002.
Tumpuan juga pasti berpusat pada nama-nama besar dalam pencalonan tahun ini, seperti saingan Michelle Yeoh untuk kategori itu, Cate Blanchett dari filem Tar; aktor Brendan Fraser dengan watak ikoniknya dalam The Whale; Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin); Austin Butler (Elvis); dan ramai lagi.
Kategori Filem Terbaik dan Pengarah Terbaik juga dinanti-nanti akan pengumuman pemenangnya. Mampukah filem Everything Everywhere All at Once mengaut kejayaan besar pada edisi kali ini memandangkan tercalon dalam 11 kategori?
Anugerah Academy ke-95 akan disiarkan secara langsung di televisyen pada 13 Mac di saluran Showcase Movies (Astro 413). Acara karpet merah bermula jam 6.30 pagi, manakala Oscars 2023 bermula pada jam 8 pagi.
