KUALA LUMPUR: On Sunday night, Zayn Malik a member of the famous English/Irish pop boyband One Direction tweeted #FreePalestine which gained instant and various reaction from his followers.
Although most of his fans and followers have supported his post, his Israel fans however found it (tweet) quite disappointing.
The current Gaza conflict has resulted in the deaths of more than 1,100 Palestinians and at least 40 Israelis.
Despite the controversy, Malik has not deleted his tweet and is yet to comment further on the conflict in Gaza.
His tweet has been re-tweeted nearly 190,000 times so far.
