8 hurt in Puchong explosion

At least eight people were injured in an explosion believed to have been caused by a molotov cocktail thrown by two men on motorcycle near an entertainment outlet at IOI Boulevard, Puchong early today.

The incident happened around 2.15am, while patrons were watching a Euro 2016 match.

Five of the victims were sent to Serdang Hospital and the rest, to Sunway Hospital.

Three emergency vehicles from the K-9 detection unit, explosives detection unit and forensic unit were also rushed to the scene.

According to police, a car which was parked about 30m from the premises was damaged in the incident.

Police are tracing the suspect.
