Aidilfitri visiting: PDRM issues only one compound

The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) on Friday issued only a single compound for the offence of visiting during Aidilfitri.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, it was part of the 471 individuals compounded for various violations of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

"Yesterday the PDRM arrested 114 individuals for defaulting the CMCO directive. Of the total, 108 individuals were remanded while six were released on police bail.

"The PDRM also issued compounds to 471 individuals for various offences of the CMCO.

"Out of a total of 300 compounds issued at the police stations, one was for visiting during Aidilfitri.

"A total of 171 compounds were issued in the field and of those, 76 were given out at roadblocks," he said at a press conference here on Saturday.

Ismail Sabri reminded all parties to abide by the SOP and rules besides exercising self-control.
