Sabah State Assembly Speaker Datuk Syed Abas Syed Ali today proposed that leaders of the 'Yellow Shirts' and 'Red Shirts' groups be denied entry into Sabah for a specific period.
This would drive home the message that Sabah did not tolerate violence and disorder that can disrupt solidarity in the state, he said at the end of the state assembly sitting today.
Referring to the Bersih 5.0 and Red Shirts rallies in Kuala Lumpur last Saturday, he said: "I wish to advise the leaders of these rallies to cease their activities and consider the effect of their irresponsible action."
He said the rallies could cause tension and disorder in society and raise fear and anxiety in the people. --Bernama
