Communication breakdown with M'sian embassy in Nepal

Wisma Putra is unable to establish contact with the Malaysian Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal to check whether any Malaysians have been affected by the earthquake there today.
A spokesman at Wisma Putra's operation rooms said the efforts to establish communication with the embassy is ongoing but without any success.
"We will continue with the efforts to establish communication with the embassy in Nepal and report on the latest development," the spokesman said when contacted by Bernama.
A strong quake rattled Nepal today at 2.45pm (Malaysian time) with the Indian Meteorological Department stating the quake's magnitude being 7.9 on the Richter Scale.
Meanwhile, the Malaysians Meteorological Department in a statement today said the magnitude of the quake was 6.4 with the epicenter being 482 kilometer (km) Southeast of Shyampur, Bangladesh and 2,903km Northwest of Padang Besar, Perlis.
